We are Craig & Pippa, the hospitality duo who run the show.

Craig is our head chef, overseeing every aspect of the culinary experience. From menu creation to sourcing the finest ingredients, he ensures that each dish is prepared to perfection, with a focus on both exquisite flavours and stunning presentation.

Pippa, our events manager, handles all the details that bring your vision to life. From the initial consultation to the final toast, she works closely with clients to design the perfect dining experience, coordinating logistics, managing timelines, and ensuring everything runs seamlessly on the day. Together, we combine our skills and dedication to provide a truly personalised service that delivers exceptional food and flawless event management, so you can relax and enjoy your celebration.

 

2016 brought us together while working in Sydney, Australia.

With one of us in the kitchen and the other managing front of house, we quickly worked out we’re pretty good hospitality ‘partners in crime’. It turned out, a couple of years later, we were pretty good life partners in crime too.

2018 saw us return back to our roots in Sussex, UK.

We became a team to rebirth a much-loved restaurant right where we live in the Witterings. The restaurant became a roaring success, and we’ll look back on those days with such fond memories.

2020 saw our beloved hospitality industry come to a grinding halt.

Our little hole in the wall by the beach was a victim of the pandemic, resulting in the restaurant’s closure. We were faced with a dilemma: wait for the hospitality industry to reopen and take on a different venue or take the leap and start something of our own.

Outdoor catering became our lifeline.

There were times when we had limited ability to leave our homes for months on end. It was a great joy to set up our food truck in local areas and to deliver a real treat for our local community in such challenging times.


Stone & Skillet was born.


Our vintage Rice horse boxes are our pride & joy, serving as our mobile kitchen as well as our mobile woodfired pizzeria.

When not carrying out our event services, in the summer months we thoroughly enjoy popping up right where we live in The Witterings to deliver weekly wood fired pizzas to our wonderful locals.

We have such wonderful produce available to us here in West Sussex, as well as throughout the UK. We work with fabulous suppliers to source the best possible ingredients.

From our kick-off call, we place great importance on getting to know our guests and their vision for their event to ensure we deliver an event to remember.
